We’re excited to announce the prequel to BioShock Infinite with Mind in Revolt.
BioShock® Infinite: Mind in Revolt, an e-book prequel to the forthcoming BioShock Infinite, will be available worldwide for the Amazon Kindle beginning February 12, 2013 for $2.99 and will be free for those who pre-order the game through Amazon.

BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt provides insight into the mysterious sky-city of Columbia prior to the events of BioShock Infinite and is written by Irrational Games’ writer Joe Fielder with creative director Ken Levine.
“Since we first announced BioShock Infinite, our fans have asked for more information about Columbia and the complex cast of characters that inhabit the floating city,” said Fielder. “After reading the e-book, players will have a better understanding of BioShock Infinite’s world, the struggle between its factions, and the motivations of key characters, like rebel leader Daisy Fitzroy, without spoiling the mysteries of BioShock Infinite.”
Also available worldwide for free to those who pre-order BioShock Infinite is the Industrial Revolution Pack, which grants exclusive access to three in-game gear items that boost combat abilities, 500 bonus in-game currency, five lock picks, and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game which unlocks stories of Columbia and allows players to pledge their allegiance to the Vox Populi or Founders through Facebook.

I’m assuming that this pre-order bonus will be retroactive with orders made months ago? Excited for the Ultimate Songbird Edition, hoping my order will actually be fulfilled despite the limited nature of it.

Indeed it will!

Will it be added to our Amazon accounts automatically?

They did this last time too, announced industrial revolt, then in a later story told us how to get it. We’ll probably have to go back to wherever we pre-ordered to get a code. They haven’t announced that because the codes aren’t there to be picked up yet.

I don’t have an Amazon Kindle. Would i be still download it to my laptop? sound interesting, i want to know more about Columbia.
deschain | January 22, 2013 9:56 pm
Yes, you could download it to your laptop but you would have to use Amazon’s (free) Kindle reader for PC. Amazon has Kindle readers for PC, iOS, Android, and probably more. You do not have to have actual Kindle hardware to read Kindle books.

Thanks gamertam and deschain for clearing that up. I’ll pick this up when it comes out knowing that I can read it on my PC or phone. Much obliged.

Hope will be as good as Bioshock Rapture by John Shirley.

I’m trying to pre-order it, but it says it’s 2.99 dollars when I search for it, but when I click on it it’s suddenly 6.24 dollars, any idea why this happens? Should I contact Amazon support?

Looking forward to this book and reading more about Fitzroy, the world, and events leading up to Bioshock Infinite!

Just finished reading it. The back and forth between Pinchot and Fitzroy was very engaging. A great taster to whet the appetite before the game comes out. I’ll be interested to read it again after playing, because I imagine my reaction to the story might change again.

Is it just going to be an e-book? no hard cover that will come with the game it self? just a book only able to be read on the kindle fire?
