*Update* The poll is now closed.
I’m happy to announce that the game will come with a reversible cover.
But that’s not all. We want to hear your voice on what that cover should be. To that end, we’ve arranged a poll below that lets you choose from several potential reversible covers. I’ve got my favorite, but I’m not telling which. We’ve got to do this quickly to meet our print deadlines, so vote soon. Like, NOW!
But what’s that you say? You want even more choice in covers? We’re also going to be arranging a whole mess of MORE alternate covers which will be available to download and print yourself. Of course, these are free and we’d love to hear your thoughts in the forums as to what you’d like to see.

Even number 3 is a pretty good choice, but I think putting an AI companion in the front is more original than putting the protagonist in the front, or he’s the only character in the front cover, like so many games does these days.
Take Half-Life 2 Episode One, the front cover ‘only’ had the AI companion and it still looked amazing.
It can be done, keep it original but not so much creative that it’d be hard to tell what the game is about.

#! is too plain, with too much unused space.
#2 Is good
#3 Is way too “generic action game cover”
#4 Is good, but the art is a little messy, and may turn off buyers.
#5 Same as 4
#6 I voted for this one, good symmetry, tasteful depiction and captures more of the characters depicted.
fiachsidhe | December 18, 2012 10:20 am
I meant to say #6 captures more of the deeper relationship, and emotion of the characters depicted.
squatchmen | December 22, 2012 1:36 pm
I agree with you whole-fully
A+ to you
fabiodm | December 18, 2012 10:19 am
Hye !
4 & 6 for me.
Thx
avenger9000 | December 18, 2012 10:59 am
I thought the 3 was pretty good ,but I have to say the design 4 and 6 go more with the art form of that period and in my opinion 4 is better than 6
squatchmen | December 22, 2012 1:31 pm
Can you possibly explain why you like #4, in my opinion I really like #2 and #6, but these covers need more to make them pop. #4 has the color to pop but lacks the illustration and does not fit with the aesthetics of the title… it all has to fit together
squatchmen | December 22, 2012 1:33 pm
“in my opinion I really like #2 and #6, but these covers need more to make them pop.”
I meant to say “color” instead of “more” for covers #2 and #6

The Handyman one is pretty good, 1 3 and 5 are generic, 4 and 6 are AMAZING. I was very torn, but 4 is so radically different from most of the game covers that I’ve seen before that it takes the cake. I’ll be flipping it the second I get my hands on the game. Thanks for making the downloadable covers and option, too. :3
pseudogenesis | December 18, 2012 12:02 pm
I’ll be honest though, #s 3 or 5 would’ve made a much better front cover than the current one. A guy with a shotgun might even be too generic for the frat bros that it’s trying to appeal to, and what’s the harm in throwing an attractive woman into the mix?
borrego | December 18, 2012 1:14 pm
I liked that original cover, but I think having Elizabeth on the front is a bonus. I went with 5 because I like how the lighting looks on Booker, and the way Elizabeth looks is just right in my opinion. In all honesty, as I scrolled, I was saying to myself, “Ooh, that looks good. Ah, That’s way cool. WHOA that’s even cooler. Holy shit these are awesome!”
recaffinator | December 18, 2012 2:02 pm
I say #6 or #4, the rest are pretty forgettable….
recaffinator | December 18, 2012 2:07 pm
Yes, definitely #6.
gorillabuddy | December 18, 2012 2:27 pm
People who voted for 3 or 5 don’t understand the point of having another cover
s3fb | December 18, 2012 3:04 pm
#6 FTW
narratedoffhand | December 18, 2012 3:46 pm
#4 All the way
arti22 | December 18, 2012 4:16 pm
They all seem a bit dull to me. #6 and #4 are ok I guess..
bestnameever | December 18, 2012 4:42 pm
Design #6 is definitely the way to go. It’s very reminiscent of the original BioShock cover with the Big Daddy and the Little Sister. Cover #6 makes me think of Infinite as a successor more than any of the other cover designs. The rest feel too mainstream-action game or too unfinished. #4 would be great if it looked better than a rough sketch someone put together quickly. The only other cover that could work would be #2 but it still doesn’t feel right for how the games been shown through all the trailers and interviews.
bioshockfan2000 | December 18, 2012 5:15 pm
The only reson I voted for number 4 is because it features the song bird but the real question i have is for the people who bought the 150$ edition (like me) if it comes with the generic cover at all i got this mostly to suport my favorate franchise but i think the special edition sould have a diffrent cover
retrobjectivist | December 18, 2012 8:27 pm
Cover number 4 serves as a way to show the gamer the time and setting in a unique way, along with showing off the magnificent Songbird. That, and I simply love the art style the used!
roarshack | December 19, 2012 7:16 am
I did vote for 4 but i wish i voted for 6 thu.
adityadragoniye | December 19, 2012 12:35 pm
love 4 the best, hope we get high res of the others too as you said for printing
squatchmen | December 22, 2012 1:18 pm
I swear, I think they put the covers in order from least attractive to most attractive…
I’ll put the covers in 2 categories: Generic and Creative.
My favorite generic cover is cover #5
My favorite creative cover is cover #6
———————————————————————————————————
#1 generic and its too dull with a lot of empty space
#2 original with a captivating illustration but missing lots of color
#3 generic but with good intention, lots of color and space is used well
#4 original with color and depicts the setting well but lacks illustration
#5 generic that’s similar to 3rd cover but characters are moved around
#6 is #1 in my book, beautiful illustration, original, splash of color in the center, space is used well and also has a main character portrayed as well.
squatchmen | December 23, 2012 9:15 pm
I meant to say #6 is the best, i didn’t mean to confuse anyone
bearybeary | December 22, 2012 4:05 pm
I have to agree with sarethw comment of design #3, the game cover should show the main character and AI companion that give us an description of who will it be in and it tell us that they are the main source of this game.
6stepsamurai | December 23, 2012 3:22 pm
If Irrational Games would had me hired just to do this. I could had put a nice idea. but will do one for myself. but indeed there were some good covers but none with beside #5
Kennedy | January 18, 2013 2:29 pm
design #2 all the way, the handymen are like the equivalent to the Big Daddies. And the art work on that one is just classic Bioshock. But, I do understand why #4 got the top vote, people eat that artsy shit up.
neelmaitra | February 19, 2013 10:29 am
#4…. even songbird’s voting….
valorship | March 17, 2013 5:02 pm
I like number 4, but i wouldve loved to have number 6. Unfortunately I wish that the logo on number 4 went with the style of the rest of the cover
revengelover | March 28, 2013 2:01 am
Thanks for making #4 the reverse art
drebe73 | April 8, 2013 2:44 pm
Thank you to those who voted for design 4.
