A cadre of Irrational Games staffers flew out to Cologne, Germany last week for Gamescom. They chatted with attendees, handed out swag, and held a special event for fans.
We posted a Flickr gallery with shots from throughout the show, including evidence of one of the strangest contests we’ve ever run. Many attendees were given invitations to the fan event at random, but some got their passes by winning the sticker contest. Thousands of BioShock Infinite stickers were distributed during the show, and the fans with the most elaborate or impressive sticker-constructed costumes were rewarded.
This fairly terrifying sticker contest entrant is also modeling Irrational’s Gamescom-exclusive t-shirt, starring Elizabeth with her Lincoln mask. The back is proudly emblazoned with Booker’s immortal line, “Keep looking, Lincoln!”
This impressively sticker-clad woman won a ticket to our fan event for this thorough getup.
Irrational’s Keith Shetler, Stephen Alexander, Kate Baxter, and Joe Faulstick proudly show off a Best of Gamescom award from GamingXP. Everyone in this photograph agrees that Keith looks weird without his glasses.

PAX is the Penny Arcade Expo, held bi-yearly in the US. Once a year there is PAX Prime in Seattle Washington and the other is PAX East, held in Boston Massachusetts. So much fun. I’ve only been to one con, and when I go I get this sense of “Wow. These are my people!! Where have you all been?!” Looks like you guys had a great time. I’m proud to be the guy in Utah rocking an Irrational Games sticker on the back of his car. Congrats to the best damned development team in the business.
