Classic Catalog Re-Release Chances?I would LOVE to see System Shock 2 and/or the Freedom Force titles released on X-Box 360. I'd speculate there is a huge audience for these gems on the consoles. Any chance of it happening? |

Freedom Force series are on Steam, for a very nominal sum. If it hits the XBLA I'd get it anyway though. And on GOG, apparently System Shock 2 is the most wanted game on there, so uh, Ken, get to it! |

SS2 is owned by EA. They are so slow about releasing old titles like that. I don't think there are any old titles on GOG. Steam has some, but not too far back. |

Well X-COM is on there and that's from 1994 isn't it? Wolfenstein is from 1990 too, isn't it? So neither System Shock would really be too old... |

But 2K owns X-Com IP, not EA. EA has been holding onto System Shock IP for years. I think at one time, if my mind recalls correctly, EA was going to have the company that made Godfather: The Game actually make System Shock 3. Obviously, yeah - doesn't look like that progressed, did it? |

Point is companies shouldn't be afraid to release a game as new as System Shock 2 when compared to game like X-COM and the such. EA could always add it to Steam if they had the incentive, which is the problem; they don't. Yeah, Visceral (formerly Redwood Shores or something) made the Simpsons Game and the Godfathers. Their System Shock 3 did happen, it just turned into Dead Space. Which is a good thing IMO because if System Shock 3 had been released as a console focused third person RE4 type game, there'd be chaos. Not to say that I didn't like Dead Space. |

Eventually it's all about numbers: resources (manhours, money, time) making the game work on new platforms vs. the potential 'new' customers? It saddens me in general how legendary games are buried into oblivion thanks to licensing shenanigans. I would also like to see Anachronox re-released or Planescape Torment not just on XBOX LIVE but one day on iPhone/Android etc... if it would be (technically) possible. @axident Dead Space = System Shock 3: yep. It had still a lot of SystemShock-Feeling in it. I was still completely surprised by the quality of the game (played PC-version). Another game that I wished would have gone the SystemShock route was ... Doom 3. It started awesome, but they stuck to their main audience and classic id-gameplay. |

Would love to see an XBLA or Steam remake of System Shock 2. It'd make my life 24% happier. |

Only issue with the Shock series is the ass-hats at EA. |

Releasing an XBLA/PSN version of System Shock 2 is out of our hands as Irrational Games doesn't own the IP or the code. While we love Freedom Force universe, we don't have any plans to port them to XBLA or PSN at this point. |
